You can see Me in anything and everything. I AM, always present. Sometimes you have to look closer to find what you’re looking for.
I sometimes get the questions: Does God really speak? Does God really hear my prayers?
Yes & Yes
God speaks through:
*His word – (The Bible) You will read something and feel it’s meaning for you.
*Other people – not excluding the church, but family, friends or loved ones.
*Circumstances – We’re guided towards righteousness, the hard right vs. easy wrong, but also live and learn through mistakes and decisions.
*His voice – (audible) which I have yet to experience. (Internal) the Holy Spirit which is a lamp to our feet and light for our path. God’s spirit that lives in us guiding us towards the truth.
**His voice is often a whisper, gentle nudge, maybe a gut feeling for some. Test it. Is it guiding you towards the truth. God will not tell you to do something that doesn’t edify the Kingdom. The enemy will and also masquerades as an Angel of light. Stay sober, be vigilant.
I was leaving a mom and pop restaurant one morning and I walked by an older lady. Something didn’t seem right with her but I kept walking. I got one foot out the door and heard a very faint, “Pray for her.” I could’ve prayed in my car or at home but felt led to do it right then. So I turned around.
“Excuse ma’am.
“Yes young man.”
“I know this is going to sound crazy and weird, but can I pray for you.”
She gasped and covered her mouth with both hands. Her eyes welled up and she began to shiver.
I asked, “Are you okay?”
She shakily replied and couldn’t hold her tears, “I told God this morning, if He was real then He needed to send me someone. And you’re here. I’m here buying donuts and I don’t even like donuts but something told me to come in here. And you’re here.”
She didn’t explain a lot about her circumstances but I could tell she was like many of us at times. Down on our luck, wavering in faith. We prayed. God answered her prayer.
God told us both to do something that we didn’t want to do.
God sees and knows your heart. Sometimes it’s not about faith, it’s belief.
