My why

I want everyone to know that Jesus is real and have a relationship with the Holy Spirit that will radically reshape your life for the better.

Not know of Jesus, but actually know Him (John 14:7). So that you will bear good fruit (Matthew 7:20).

Fight the Good Fight (1 Timothy 6:12)

On my walk I’ve noticed many parallels between my two Army’s – God and country. I’ve seen and felt the crippling effects of war on both sides from each angle, individually and those around me. In terms of our salvation, conversion is enlistment. It’s a call to arms and we immediately become Soldiers for Christ. We’ve been given a new life, but we need protection. Conflict, spiritual warfare, is a fact for all Christian life.

Hard Right vs. Easy Wrong (Matthew 7:13-14)

Disciplined obedience isn’t easy. Many still find it difficult to choose the hard right over the easy wrong. There are no blessings without battles, simply because our holiness does not go unopposed.

(ROE) Rules of Engagement (Ephesians 6:10-12)

The Captain of our salvation has provided every available resource during our time in conflict. The rules of engagement (ROE) are clear: be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. This is a real battle, and just like the physical, people get wounded, they need encouragement, uplifting, edification, sustenance, and healing. Some have even died and need spiritual resurrection or spiritual renewal.

Battle for this World (John 16:33)

It’s not easy. It can get messy. It can get ugly, but it’s important to remember that we have victory in Jesus.

Equipping the Body (Ephesians 4:12-14)

I spent over 20 years of my life in the military equipping Soldiers. From office supplies and rations to military gear and weapon systems, without the right equipment you’re setting yourself up for failure. It doesn’t matter if it’s stateside training, combat operations, or daily struggles – if you’re not equipped to fight, you’re putting yourself, others, and the mission (your life) in danger.

Soldiers from each branch of the military are equipped to train and equipped to fight. Basic training, day one, you get your gear. Unit of assignment, day one, you get your gear. Deploying for combat, one of the first things you do is get your gear.

As a believer, when you wake up in the morning, what’s the first thing you do? Before you leave your home, what’s the first thing you do?

Take captive every thought (2 Corinthians 10:4-5)

"There is no neutral ground in the universe; every square inch, every split second, is claimed by God and counter-claimed by Satan."

– C. S. Lewis

Equip. Train. Fight. Win. Repeat.
